Puzzles is proud to be family-owned and operated. We hope to create an environment that is carefully designed to create a safe learning space that meets the needs of the children and parents.

Our Program
Our licensed centres are multi-age, allowing a small group of 8 children from 1 to 5 years of age. Research suggests smaller centres result in happier children. We value our small class size for many reasons!
- We can give each child more time and attention to meet their needs

Emergent Curriculum
Each week we listen to children's interests and follow them by making that our weekly theme (ex. Dinosaurs, bugs, trains, etc.). We create exploratory art activities, read books, and do circle time to learn more about our theme.
Outdoor Learning
We bring children outdoors for a minimum of 2 hours daily (rain or shine!). Being outdoors has many calming benefits for children, and allows them to develop physically by running, climbing, jumping and more. We also bring the learning outside by: playing with water (did somebody say pool party?), observing plants, bugs and animals, cooking in our mud kitchen, setting up our camping tent, and digging in the sandbox.
Music
We have a variety of musical instruments at the daycare that children can explore and we offer bi-weekly music classes facilitated by a qualified music teacher (at no extra cost).
Field Trip
We bring children on field trips at our North Van location to libraries, soccer field, beach, farms, ice cream shop, and more. Children learn about how to travel by bus, new environments, and get to interact with the outside world.
Healthy Food
We know the importance of healthy eating habits at a young age, which is why our monthly fee includes a nutritious breakfast and two snack times that follow the Canadian Food Guide.​​​
Parent-Teacher Relationships
We understand the importance of teachers and parents having a relationship. We like to involve parents by having graduation and Christmas parties, inviting parents to volunteer on field trips, and more!

At Puzzles Child Care Centre, our mission consists of providing a warm and nurturing environment where children feel safe. Our unique Childcare Center offers various activities that are specifically designed to encourage each child’s growth. Through cooperative play and creative activities, kids reach their social, emotional and physical milestones naturally and with ease.
Our Environment
As a licensed childcare centre, you can be sure that our facilities are approved by Vancouver Coastal Health and the fire department as child safe. Our welcoming environment is designed to meet the developmental needs of children, including various age-appropriate toys. We also offer an impressive outdoor play area and quiet time area to provide rest for busy minds and bodies.
